Closing Ceremony of the Official External Accreditation Survey for the Master’s Program in Information Technology and the Bachelor’s Program in Architecture

On the morning of November 12, 2021, the official quality accreditation survey for the Master’s program in Information Technology and the Bachelor’s program in Architecture at Nguyen Tat Thanh University concluded with a formal closing ceremony held at Meeting Room 1, Campus 331 An Phu Dong, District 12.

Representing the External Evaluation Team (EET) were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu – Head of the Team; Dr. Dinh Anh Linh – Secretary; Dr. Truong Chi Hien – Permanent Member for the Architecture program; Dr. Huynh Kha Tu – Permanent Member for the Information Technology program; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Van Hoai – Member; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Hanh Nga – Member.

Representing the Center for Education Quality Accreditation, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam – Acting Deputy Director; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam – Academic Secretary.

From Nguyen Tat Thanh University, participants included: Dr. Tran Ai Cam – Acting President; Dr. Tran Thien Luu – Vice President and Head of the Department of Academic Affairs; along with faculty leaders and representatives of various university departments.

The official survey took place from November 9 to November 12, 2021, in a professional, transparent, objective, and high-quality manner. Activities conducted by the External Evaluation Team included reviewing self-assessment documents, evidence, and records; collecting information through interviews and observations; verifying the accuracy and legality of evidence; cross-checking information; conducting site visits to selected units; and observing E-learning classes.

At the closing ceremony, representatives of the External Evaluation Team presented their evaluations, highlighting strengths, limitations, and recommendations to help the University and its faculties continue improving the quality of the Master’s program in Information Technology and the Bachelor’s program in Architecture.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu, Head of the External Evaluation Team, also shared insights and recommendations to support the sustainable development and quality assurance of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

Representing the Center for Education Quality Accreditation, VNU-HCM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam expressed gratitude to the External Evaluation Team members as well as to the University for creating favorable conditions for the evaluation process and ensuring safety during the pandemic.

On behalf of the University, Dr. Tran Ai Cam – Acting President thanked the Center for Education Quality Accreditation, VNU-HCM, and the External Evaluation Team for their time, effort, expertise, and objective and fair assessment of the two programs. She also affirmed that the University would seriously consider all detailed recommendations from the evaluation team and continue to develop and implement action plans to improve faculty performance, ensure learners’ rights, and meet labor market demands.

In 2021, these two programs—the Master’s program in Information Technology and the Bachelor’s program in Architecture—were the fourth and fifth programs of the University to be accredited under Circular 04 of the Ministry of Education and Training.

To formally recognize the outcomes of the official accreditation survey, the University President, the Head of the External Evaluation Team, and the representative of the VNU-HCM Center for Education Quality Accreditation signed the official record of completion at 11:30 a.m. the same day.
