The University’s specialized quality assurance unit

The Department of Quality Assurance is the University’s specialized unit responsible for advising the President and coordinating the implementation of quality assurance activities across Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
2012

Establishment of the Quality Assurance Board

The specialized quality assurance unit was established as the Quality Assurance Board under Decision No. 444/QĐ-NTT dated 4 October 2012.

2016

Department of Quality Assurance

The Quality Assurance Board was renamed the Department of Quality Assurance under Decision No. 358/QĐ-NTT dated 6 August 2016 issued by the President.

ROLE

Advisory and coordinating hub for quality assurance

The Department of Quality Assurance advises the President on quality assurance matters and serves as the focal unit for organizing, coordinating, and monitoring quality assurance activities across the University.

Through collaboration with the Quality Assurance Council, quality assurance teams at individual units, and relevant stakeholders, the Department helps integrate quality assurance with institutional governance, evaluation, and continuous improvement.

CURRENT TEAM

The team comprises the Head, Deputy Head, specialists, and staff responsible for different areas of quality assurance.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Key areas of responsibility

The Department of Quality Assurance organizes and coordinates quality assurance activities in alignment with the University’s development strategy and national, regional, and international quality requirements.

Internal QA System Development

Develop, operate, monitor, and continuously enhance the internal quality assurance system in alignment with national and international quality standards.

Stakeholder Surveys

Collect feedback from learners and other stakeholders, and synthesize and analyze data to support institutional governance and improvement.

Self-Assessment

Coordinate periodic self-assessment activities at both institutional and academic programme levels.

External Assessment & Accreditation

Organize and coordinate external assessment and accreditation activities for the institution and its academic programmes.

Benchmarking & Rankings

Coordinate benchmarking, rating, and ranking activities in alignment with the University’s development and internationalization strategy.

Improvement & Accountability

Monitor quality improvement activities, ensure transparency of information, and support institutional accountability in accordance with relevant regulations.
