Training on Writing Self-Assessment Reports According to AUN-QA Standards

In implementation of the Quality Assurance Plan for the 2013–2014 academic year of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, and to support faculties in identifying the current status of the academic programs being taught at the University—thereby developing appropriate quality improvement plans—the Quality Assurance Office of Nguyen Tat Thanh University organized training on program-level self-assessment according to the AUN-QA Standards for 12 faculties of the University, including: Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Basic Sciences, Pharmacy, Foreign Languages, Nursing, Accounting and Auditing, Business Administration, Finance and Banking, Civil Engineering, Chemical and Food Technology, and Agricultural Sciences & Biotechnology.

The training was conducted in four sessions:

  • Session 1: August 19, 2013, at Campus 5, Phan Huy Ich Street, Go Vap District;
  • Session 2: August 21, 2013, at Campus 1, 300A Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, District 4;
  • Session 3: August 23, 2013, at Campus 3, 27A Nguyen Oanh Street, Go Vap District;
  • Session 4: August 30, 2013, at Campus 1, 300A Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, District 4.

Participants included representatives of the University Board of Management, the Quality Assurance Office, self-assessment teams from the faculties, and interested lecturers.

The training content included an introduction to the 15 standards of the AUN-QA framework, guidance on writing self-assessment reports based on 7 standards (Standards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 10), and instructions on immediate tasks to be carried out by the faculties.
