NTTU – On the morning of October 28, 2021, Nguyen Tat Thanh University welcomed officials from the External Evaluation Team of the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) for a preliminary survey in preparation for the external assessment of two academic programs: the Bachelor’s program in Architecture and the Master’s program in Information Technology.
Participating in the preliminary survey from the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – VNU-HCM were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam, Deputy Director, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam, Specialist.
Representing the External Evaluation Team were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu, Head of the Team; Dr. Dinh Ai Linh, Secretary; Dr. Truong Chi Hien, Permanent Member for the Architecture program; Dr. Huynh Kha Tu, Permanent Member for the Information Technology program; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Van Hoai, Member; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Hanh Nga, Member.

Welcoming the evaluation team on behalf of Nguyen Tat Thanh University were Dr. Tran Ai Cam, President; Dr. Nguyen Kim Quoc, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology; M.A. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Architecture – Construction – Applied Arts; M.A. Nguyen Huu Dang Quang, Deputy Head of the Quality Assurance Office; along with leaders of faculties, departments, and functional units.
During the working session on October 28, the External Evaluation Team from the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – VNU-HCM conducted the preliminary survey of the Bachelor’s program in Architecture and the Master’s program in Information Technology at Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
Specifically, the team reviewed documentation, evidence, and materials, and visited several locations including offices, laboratories, and lecture halls. They also interviewed relevant staff members to prepare for the official assessment.
After completing the preliminary survey activities, the External Evaluation Team met and worked with university leaders and departmental heads to discuss the self-assessment reports of the two programs. Both sides also exchanged views and agreed on working principles, as well as developed plans and objectives, and completed and supplemented necessary documents and evidence for the official survey, which was expected to take place from November 9 to November 12, 2021.
During the preliminary survey, the External Evaluation Team also observed an online E-learning class of the academic programs.

Assessment of the University’s infrastructure and facilities
The team highly appreciated the efforts of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in implementing self-assessment activities and preparing for external evaluation under pandemic conditions. They also affirmed their commitment to conducting the assessment in an objective, transparent, professional, and high-quality manner. The evaluation would provide recommendations to help the University improve training quality, better serve learners’ needs, and further strengthen the reputation, quality, and position of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in the new period.
