Representatives of Nguyen Tat Thanh University attend the Francophone Scientific Community Seminar
On the morning of March 9, 2023, Nguyen Tat Thanh University delegated representatives including Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Vice Rector, and M.A. Nguyen Thi Anh Đao, Head of the Quality Assurance Department, to attend the seminar between leaders of universities and member institutions of AUF in the Southern region with the Director General of AUF on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of AUF in Vietnam, held at Palace Hotel. This event is part of the working visit of Prof. Slim Khalbous, Director General of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), together with Prof. Marie Nathalie Le Blanc, Deputy Director General in charge of the Asia–Pacific region, in their first visit and working trip to the Asia–Pacific region. The event was organized to strengthen exchanges with AUF member institutions in Vietnam, listen to the needs of the institutions, and adjust AUF’s strategy accordingly to the Vietnamese context.
At the seminar, Prof. Slim Khalbous presented the five main pillars of AUF’s 2021–2025 strategy and the program of the 3rd Francophone Scientific Week, scheduled to take place from October 30 to November 2, 2023 in Québec, Canada. Member institutions also discussed and proposed suitable support activities aligned with the current context of Vietnamese higher education, such as digital transformation, advanced university governance, employment and entrepreneurship for students, and innovation and research. Nguyen Tat Thanh University highly appreciated the strategic pillars of AUF’s development strategy and expressed gratitude for AUF’s support in developing the university’s training system. The university also shared that its innovation-oriented direction aligns with AUF’s strategic orientation on digital transformation and innovation. Prof. Slim Khalbous stated that AUF is ready to support the university in digital transformation and university governance towards becoming an innovative university.
