NTTU – On March 24, 2022, the Faculty of Information Technology at Nguyen Tat Thanh University officially received certification from the University Performance Metrics (UPM)—the Vietnam and regional higher education quality benchmarking system—for its Information Technology (IT) program.
This achievement reflects the dedicated efforts of the faculty members, lecturers, and staff of Nguyen Tat Thanh University as a whole, and the Faculty of Information Technology in particular, over the past several years.
UPM quality benchmarking certification recognizing the Information Technology program with a 4-Star Plus rating
The Faculty of Information Technology at Nguyen Tat Thanh University has consistently placed special emphasis on the development and continuous improvement of its academic programs to ensure they meet the evolving demands of the economy, science, and society. This is regarded as one of the most important and fundamental factors contributing to the enhancement of educational quality, as the curriculum plays a decisive role in the development of both the Faculty and the University.
The Faculty continuously improves its curriculum, teaching and learning methods, and academic management in order to enhance the quality of education by fostering learners’ competencies, personal qualities, and active participation, while cultivating the ability for lifelong learning. The Faculty has been continuously updating and integrating scientific and technological advances associated with the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) into its teaching and research activities.
In addition, the Faculty continues to strengthen scientific research conducted by both lecturers and students, with the goal of becoming a provider of scientific solutions to issues related to information technology. The Faculty also promotes its own organizational culture, creating a positive and supportive educational environment that enables students to fully develop their abilities and strengths, while encouraging them to cultivate ethical values and enhance their professional expertise.
The Faculty continuously improves the quality of its academic staff by recruiting and developing lecturers with strong professional qualifications and teaching and research capabilities. Regarding industry and international relations, the Faculty actively strengthens cooperation with employers to better understand workforce demands, collaborate in training activities, and create employment opportunities for students. At the same time, it maintains and expands partnerships with domestic and international educational institutions to promote academic exchange and provide students with diverse academic programs that meet international standards.

In addition to the Faculty of Information Technology receiving the UPM 4-Star Plus certification, several other academic programs at Nguyen Tat Thanh University were also awarded UPM star ratings:
- Accounting: 4 Stars
- Finance and Banking: 4 Stars
- Restaurant and Food Service Management: 3-Star Plus
Nguyen Tat Thanh University has a total of four undergraduate academic programs that have received UPM Star Rating Certification.
