NTTU – After five days of serious and objective work, the official external assessment of four undergraduate programs – Economic Law, Civil Engineering, Chinese Language, and Restaurant and Food Service Management – at Nguyen Tat Thanh University concluded with a closing ceremony held on December 1, 2021, at the University’s An Phu Dong Campus, District 12.
Attending the closing ceremony on behalf of the Center for Education Quality Accreditation of Vinh University was Dr. Tran Dinh Quang, Director of the Center. Representing the External Evaluation Team were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Hao, Head of the Team; Dr. Tran Dinh Quang, Secretary; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoa Du, Permanent Member; Dr. Nguyen Duy Mong Ha, Member; M.A. Trinh Thi My Hien, Member; M.A. Le Hoang Vu, Member; Dr. Truong Chi Hien, Member; Assoc. Representing Nguyen Tat Thanh University were Dr. Tran Ai Cam, President; Dr. Tran Thien Luu, Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Vice President and Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Vietnam Studies; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Truong Vu, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Construction, and Applied Arts; Dr. Chu Hai Thanh, Dean of the Faculty of Law; Dr. Nguyen Thi Nguyet Anh, Standing Vice Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages; M.A. Nguyen Huu Dang Quang, Deputy Head of the Quality Assurance Office; together with representatives from supporting departments and faculty leaders, staff, and lecturers involved in the operation and teaching activities of the four assessed programs.
During the five-day evaluation period, from November 27 to December 1, 2021, the External Evaluation Team from the Center for Education Quality Accreditation of Vinh University conducted the official assessment of the four undergraduate programs: Economic Law, Civil Engineering, Chinese Language, and Restaurant and Food Service Management.
Specifically, the evaluation team reviewed all documentation, evidence, and survey results, and conducted interviews with a wide range of stakeholders both within and outside the University, including faculty leaders, department heads, lecturers, administrative staff, students, alumni, and employers. Information was collected through various methods, including in-person meetings, online interviews, and telephone conversations.
The team also inspected the University’s general facilities as well as specialized facilities supporting teaching, learning, and research activities for faculty members and students in the four programs. In addition, they visited supporting departments and observed E-learning classes in Economic Law, Civil Engineering, Chinese Language, and Restaurant and Food Service Management.

At the conclusion of the official site visit, during the closing ceremony, representatives of the External Evaluation Team from the Center for Education Quality Accreditation of Vinh University presented the results of the official assessment of four academic programs at Nguyen Tat Thanh University. They also provided evaluations, comments, and benchmarking analyses highlighting the strengths of the programs as well as areas requiring improvement. In addition, the team offered valuable recommendations to help the University and its faculties further enhance educational quality, safeguard students’ interests, and meet the expectations of employers and other stakeholders.
The External Evaluation Team highly appreciated the University’s efforts and cooperative spirit throughout the evaluation process and stated that the official assessment results would be submitted to the University in the near future.

Speaking on behalf of the University, President Tran Ai Cam expressed her gratitude to the Center for Education Quality Accreditation of Vinh University and the experts of the External Evaluation Team for their impartial work and for providing objective, honest, and accurate feedback that would help the University and its academic units continue to improve comprehensively.
She emphasized: “Nguyen Tat Thanh University always places great importance on accreditation activities and regards them as a foundation for continuous improvement and development. These efforts contribute not only to the success of the University’s quality assurance work but, above all, advance its long-term mission of educating and nurturing future generations.”
Dr. Tran Ai Cam also requested that relevant units and individuals promptly complete the external evaluation reports for the four undergraduate programs assessed during this review.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Dr. Tran Dinh Quang, Director of the Center for Education Quality Accreditation of Vinh University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Hao, Head of the External Evaluation Team; and Dr. Tran Ai Cam, President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, signed the official record confirming the completion of the site visit and external assessment process for the four undergraduate programs in accordance with Circular No. 04 of the Ministry of Education and Training.
