NTTU – Within the framework of the ACCEES Project (Accelerating the Digital Ecosystem for Higher Education in Vietnam), the delegation from Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) participated in a study and experience-sharing programme at partner universities in Europe to learn about digital transformation models, innovative learning spaces, and digital technology ecosystems in higher education. The working visit not only opened up opportunities to access advanced models but also contributed to strengthening international cooperation, creating a foundation for NTTU to continue promoting digital transformation and improving the quality of education.
The NTTU delegation consisted of three members, led by Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President of the University, and participated alongside representatives from 11 Vietnamese universities and educational organisations. The study visit took place from 21 June to 1 July 2025, with destinations including University of Mons (Belgium), University of Strasbourg (France), and University of Patras (Greece) – European partners of the ACCEES Project.
The series of visits was organised to share experiences in building digital technology ecosystems in higher education, from infrastructure development, learning spaces, and digital resources to models supporting teaching, learning, and university administration. These experiences will serve as a basis for Vietnamese universities, including NTTU, to study and apply them appropriately to their practical conditions, contributing to improving the quality of education and promoting innovation in the context of digital transformation.
Strengthening International Cooperation to Promote Digital Transformation
Throughout the programme, the delegation worked with partner universities to learn about solutions being implemented in the development of digital learning spaces, the application of technology in teaching and university administration, as well as models supporting learners and lecturers in digital education environments.
Through working sessions, professional exchanges, and practical visits, the delegation had the opportunity to gain extensive experience in building integrated digital ecosystems, developing educational resources and innovative spaces, and implementing solutions to support digital transformation in higher education. This was also an opportunity for Vietnamese and European partners to share experiences, strengthen connections, and expand opportunities for cooperation in education, research, and digital capacity development.
A Foundation for NTTU’s Digital Ecosystem Development
According to the plan of the ACCEES Project, the experiences gained from the working visit will be studied, discussed, and applied by member universities in the process of developing digital transformation solutions appropriate to the conditions of each institution.
For NTTU, this was an opportunity to gain access to advanced educational models while strengthening its network of cooperation with universities and international organisations. Experiences in building digital ecosystems, developing modern learning environments, and applying technology in education will contribute to supporting the University in continuing to implement innovation activities, improving the quality of education, and developing a learning environment that meets the requirements of higher education in the digital era.
In subsequent articles, NTTU will introduce in greater detail the outstanding models explored by the delegation at the University of Mons (Belgium), University of Strasbourg (France), and University of Patras (Greece), thereby sharing practical experiences that can be referenced in the process of developing digital technology ecosystems at higher education institutions in Vietnam.
