Implementation Status of Institutional Quality Objectives (2016–2024)

The quality assurance (QA) system and the current training quality evaluation framework of Nguyen Tat Thanh University are designed according to an Input – Process – Output cycle, incorporating the three core functions of a higher education institution (teaching and training, scientific research, and community service).

In order to develop a quality assurance system that aligns with the University’s strategic development orientation, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has implemented annual periodic QA activities, including the development of Quality Objectives (QOs) and corresponding implementation plans. These activities are concretized from strategic goals into specific indicators and targets, enabling all units across the University to implement, maintain, and continuously improve quality in accordance with annually defined objectives.

The formulation of Quality Objectives and their implementation plans began in 2013 and has been continuously improved over time. Procedures and guidelines for implementing institutional-level and unit-level Quality Objectives have been progressively refined. At the end of each academic year, the University conducts a review and evaluation of results based on the published assessment criteria established during the development of the Quality Objectives. This serves as a basis for assessing the achievement of annual targets and implementing improvement activities for the following year.
Each year, strategic objectives in different areas are translated into the University’s Quality Objectives and implementation plans, which are then assigned to relevant units. Based on their functions and responsibilities, units are designated as either lead implementers or coordinators for these objectives. The results of Quality Objective implementation by units are evaluated annually and used as a basis for reward consideration through criteria publicly announced at the beginning of each academic year.
