ACCEES Completes Its First Year of Activities, Approves a Range of Project Outputs, and Agrees on the 2026 Plan

On March 31, 2026, at Can Tho University, the ACCEES Project Steering Committee held its Year 2 annual meeting, marking the completion of the project’s first year of activities. The meeting focused on reviewing and approving the completed project outputs and agreeing on the implementation plan for activities in 2026.

First-Year Project Outputs Approved

The meeting was attended by representatives from beneficiary institutions in Vietnam, European partners, and the Project Secretariat. During the working session, the Steering Committee reviewed project outputs across the main activity areas of ACCEES.

The approved deliverables included a consultancy report on the digital technology ecosystem in Vietnamese higher education; the implementation plan for developing Open Educational Resources (OER); the digital competency development plan for lecturers and support staff; and the digital competency development plan for students. Other deliverables included those related to the design of digital learning spaces, the structure of the OER sharing platform, the selection of external evaluation experts, and the project’s official website.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the institution responsible for ACCEES communications, represented by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Head of the NTTU Communications Department and Head of the Project Communications Committee, also reported on the reach of posts published on the project’s official fanpage in 2025. Facebook was selected as the project’s primary social media channel based on its user demographics and ability to reach the project’s target audiences, rather than implementing the project simultaneously on Instagram. Public outreach indicators in the first year exceeded the targets set and were acknowledged and approved by the Steering Committee.

Agreeing on the Implementation Roadmap for 2026

Following the completion and approval of the first-year deliverables, the partners continued to agree on the schedule for 2026. A number of important activities will be implemented, including the establishment of five digital learning spaces, development of the OER sharing platform, preparation of training for key staff, development of a digital competency program for students, and a pilot implementation of eduroam. Seminars and thematic reports at the newly established digital learning spaces, visits to digital and innovation enterprises, and communications activities were also included in the 2026 plan.

NTTU will continue to coordinate the project’s communications activities in 2026. In addition to maintaining its social media channels, this year’s communications plan will be linked to the launch of the official ACCEES website, providing an additional centralized channel to introduce the project’s activities, outcomes, and deliverables to the higher education community and other interested stakeholders.
