Opening Ceremony of the Official External Quality Accreditation Survey for the Bachelor’s Program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology

NTTU – Continuing the series of official external evaluation activities for academic programs, on the morning of May 28, 2019, at the An Phu Dong Campus, Nguyen Tat Thanh University selected the Bachelor’s program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology as the second program to undergo program-level quality accreditation.

The External Evaluation Team included: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu, Head of the University Board, VNU-HCM – Head of the External Evaluation Team; Dr. Huynh Kha Tu, Head of the Quality Management Center, University of International, VNU-HCM – Secretary; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Hao, former Head of the Quality Assurance and Testing Office, Nha Trang University – Permanent Member; MSc. Ho Dac Hai Mien, Deputy Director, Center for Education Quality Accreditation, VNU-HCM – Member; Dr. Duong Ngoc Hao, Deputy Head of the Postgraduate Training and Science & Technology Office, University of Information Technology, VNU-HCM – Member; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam, Acting Deputy Director, Center for Education Quality Accreditation, VNU-HCM – Supervisor; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam, Specialist, Center for Education Quality Accreditation, VNU-HCM – Academic Secretary.

Representing Nguyen Tat Thanh University were: Dr. Tran Ai Cam, Standing Vice President of the University; Dr. Pham Tuan Anh, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical – Electrical – Electronics – Automotive Engineering; along with faculty leaders and representatives of relevant departments and offices.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the University Leadership, Dr. Tran Ai Cam warmly welcomed the External Evaluation Team from the Center for Education Quality Accreditation, VNU-HCM. She also reported on the achievements of the University since its establishment, highlighting the continuous efforts and dedication of the teaching staff and students. She further presented the University’s developments as well as those of the Faculty of Mechanical – Electrical – Electronics – Automotive Engineering in 2019, with the goal of meeting employer needs, satisfying stakeholders, and especially ensuring students’ rights and benefits. 

At the opening ceremony, Dr. Pham Tuan Anh introduced an overview of the Faculty of Mechanical – Electrical – Electronics – Automotive Engineering (MEEA). With the slogan “Creating Engineering Quality,” the Faculty has continuously strived to train high-quality graduates who meet industry demands. In the future, the Faculty will continue improving its curriculum to align with Industry 4.0. He also shared that the Faculty would continue conducting program-level accreditation for the Automotive Engineering Technology program.

In the afternoon of the same day, the External Evaluation Team conducted document and evidence review. The team also carried out interviews with faculty leadership, program heads, faculty council members, lecturers, students, and conducted facility inspections.

The official accreditation survey for the Bachelor’s program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology would take place over three days, from June 19 to June 21, with activities including interviews with faculty leaders, lecturers, students, university departments, as well as employers and alumni.
