NTTU is among the few universities to undergo its second cycle of institutional accreditation. The University first achieved institutional accreditation in May 2017 under Decision No. 65/2007/QĐ-BGDĐT, which consisted of 10 standards and 61 criteria. By 2019, the University had completed nearly 100% of the recommendations from that cycle’s mid-term report. Concurrently, NTTU implemented quality improvements according to Circular 12/2017 (25 standards and 111 criteria) as a framework to standardize all institutional activities. The self-assessment process for this cycle began in January 2021, culminating in the official site visit from May 6 to May 11, 2022.
