Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) is the only private university in Vietnam participating in the ACCEES Project as a beneficiary institution

On March 31 and April 1, 2025, Nguyen Tat Thanh University participated in the Kick-off Meeting of the ACCEES Project – Advancing the Digital Technology Ecosystem in Higher Education in Vietnam, held at Can Tho University. The meeting marked the official launch of the project after it was selected for funding under the European Union’s Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) programme for the 2025–2028 period.

Notably, Nguyen Tat Thanh University is the only private higher education institution in Vietnam participating in the project as a beneficiary. The University’s participation once again demonstrates its continuous commitment to international integration and the implementation of its digital transformation strategy.

The Nguyen Tat Thanh University delegation was led by Dr. Tran Ai Cam, President of the University. According to Dr. Tran Ai Cam, participation in ACCEES will help the University further strengthen its digital transformation strategy, enhance the digital competencies of faculty members, staff, and students, and provide momentum for implementing higher education and university governance models that align with international standards.

On the first day, the project’s kick-off workshop was held under the theme “The Digital Technology Ecosystem in Vietnamese Higher Education According to International Standards: Current Status and Opportunities.” The workshop brought together experts, policymakers, and scholars in digital transformation in education to discuss the current state of digital transformation in Vietnam and around the world. Highlights included presentations by Prof. Stephen Billett (Griffith University, Australia) on work-integrated higher education, and Prof. Mamoru Ishida (Okayama University, Japan) on the role of servant leadership in advancing digital technology ecosystems in higher education institutions. These presentations provided valuable international perspectives and practical experience to help guide the implementation of the ACCEES Project.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Nicolas Maïnetti, Regional Director of AUF Asia-Pacific, emphasized that the workshop not only marked the beginning of the ACCEES Project but also provided a forum for universities, government agencies, and businesses to discuss the conditions necessary for building a digital technology ecosystem in Vietnamese higher education in line with international standards.
