Opening Ceremony of the Official External Assessment of 04 Training Programs Under Circular 04

NTTU – On the morning of October 8, 2022, at the An Phu Dong campus, Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) held the opening ceremony for the official external assessment of four training programs: the Bachelor of Human Resource Management, and the Master’s programs in Tourism, Business Administration, and Finance and Banking.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung – Director of the Thang Long Centre for Education Quality Accreditation (CEA-Thang Long) and Delegation Supervisor. Representing the External Assessment Team were Prof. Dr. Dang Ung Van – Former Chief of Office of the National Council for Education, Government Office, and Former President of Hoa Binh University – serving as the Team Leader, along with other team members. From NTTU, participants included Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President, along with the Board of Management, supporting departments, and the leadership, faculty, and staff of the four assessed programs.

Opening the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Van Duong – Secretary of the Delegation – announced the Decision to establish the External Assessment Team for the four programs. On behalf of the delegation, Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung introduced the assessment team members, who are prestigious and experienced experts in fields relevant to the assessed programs. Furthermore, she outlined the objectives and content of the official site visit and expressed gratitude to NTTU for its trust and cooperation throughout the accreditation process.

Representing NTTU, President Tran Ai Cam extended a warm welcome to the experts from CEA-Thang Long, committing to providing the best conditions for the team to work under the principles of “Quality – Objectivity – Fairness.” During the ceremony, she summarized NTTU’s 23-year journey of formation and development, highlighting achievements in scientific research, innovative entrepreneurship, and community service. “The accreditation of these four training programs, including three Master’s levels, is part of our roadmap for self-assessment and external assessment for over 50 programs. This process helps Faculties remain accountable for training quality to stakeholders, providing a basis for continuous review and improvement to enhance training quality and institutional governance efficiency, thereby affirming the University’s position domestically and regionally,” Dr. Cam stated.

Following the program, representatives from the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, the Faculty of Business Administration, and the Faculty of Tourism and Vietnamese Studies introduced the history and development of their respective faculties and the four training programs. They pledged to strive continuously to train high-quality bachelors and masters who meet the demands of businesses and society.

Following the preliminary survey on September 27, 2022, both the External Assessment Team and the University expressed high hopes for a successful official site visit. As scheduled, the official assessment at NTTU will take place from October 8 to October 12, 2022. Key activities include reviewing dossiers and evidence, interviewing faculty leadership, lecturers, and students, conducting interviews and site visits to university departments, and gathering feedback from employers and alumni.
