Among them, the Information Technology and Restaurant Management and Food Service programs of Nguyen Tat Thanh University were recognized with outstanding performance and included in this star-rating list.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accordingly, the <\/span><b>Information Technology<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> program was awarded <\/span><b>4 Stars Plus<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, ranking among the <\/span><b>top six<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> programs in the rankings. It received <\/span><b>5-star<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ratings in the criteria of <\/span><b>Strategic Alignment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>University Ecosystem<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>Academic Program<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; <\/span><b>4-star<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ratings in <\/span><b>Teaching and Learning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Research and Innovation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>Community Service<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; and a <\/span><b>3-star<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> rating in <\/span><b>Internationalization<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Restaurant Management and Food Service<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> program was awarded <\/span><b>3 Stars Plus<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, receiving a <\/span><b>5-star<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> rating for <\/span><b>University Ecosystem<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while <\/span><b>Strategic Alignment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Teaching and Learning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Community Service<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>Academic Program<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> each received <\/span><b>4-star<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ratings.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With these results, <\/span>Nguyen Tat Thanh University is currently the only private university in Vietnam with academic programs included in the UPM star-rating rankings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4882 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/dbcl.ntt.edu.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/3-STARS-PLUS-UPM-NHDVAU.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"914\" height=\"652\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Information Technology program awarded 4 Stars Plus by UPM<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4884 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/dbcl.ntt.edu.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/4-STARS-PLUS-UPM-CNTT.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"913\" height=\"633\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><em>The Restaurant Management and Food Service program awarded 3 Stars Plus by UPM<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The UPM Star Rating is assessed based on <\/span><b>44 criteria<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> grouped into <\/span><b>seven standards<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><b>Strategic Alignment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (8 criteria)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><b>Teaching and Learning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (11 criteria)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><b>Research and Innovation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (7 criteria)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><b>University Ecosystem<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (5 criteria)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><b>Internationalization<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (4 criteria)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><b>Community Service<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (3 criteria)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><b>Distinctiveness<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (6 criteria)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 90%;\">The star-rating system provides an authentic and positive picture of quality, delivering useful and multidimensional information to stakeholders, including universities, students, employers, and policymakers. Universities participating in the UPM Star Rating have the opportunity to benchmark their quality against peer institutions. In doing so, they not only affirm their own value but also take an important step toward continuous improvement and enhanced quality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are the <\/span><b>first two undergraduate academic programs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at Nguyen Tat Thanh University to receive UPM star ratings. This achievement reflects the University&#8217;s continuous investment in facilities, faculty development, educational quality enhancement, graduate employment support, and the promotion of scientific research throughout its years of operation and development.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to <\/span><b>Dr. Tran Ai Cam<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, these results will provide a solid foundation for the University to better analyze its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges in order to achieve the key objectives outlined in its development strategy and pursue even higher goals. The achievement is also a well-deserved recognition of the University&#8217;s sustained efforts in educational quality assurance and accreditation over recent years.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\">In August 2020, the University Performance Metrics (UPM) benchmarking and ranking system for universities in Vietnam and the region also awarded Nguyen Tat Thanh University a 4-star institutional rating. According to UPM, 4-star universities are institutions with strong reputations at both the national and regional levels.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><em>UPM, which stands for University Performance Metrics, is a higher education quality benchmarking system established by a research group from Vietnam National University, Hanoi. It was developed to meet the demands of innovation and adaptation to the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Vietnam.
