Representing Nguyen Tat Thanh University were <\/span><b>Ms. Nguyen Mai Lan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Chairwoman of the University Council; <\/span><b>Dr. Tran Ai Cam<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, President of the University; together with members of the Board of Management, university leaders, and heads and deputy heads of faculties and administrative departments across the University.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%; color: #282828;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2020, after a period of studying the standards of the <\/span><b>UPM Educational Quality Benchmarking System<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, conducting benchmarking, and implementing self-improvement activities, Nguyen Tat Thanh University received a <\/span><b>4-star rating<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under the UPM system in <\/span><b>August 2020<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Building on this achievement, the University boldly implemented the UPM standards for its academic programs. As a result, all four participating academic programs successfully met the UPM standards, receiving <\/span><b>4-star<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>3-star<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ratings as follows:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%; color: #282828;\"><b>Accounting<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 4 stars<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%; color: #282828;\"><b>Finance and Banking<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 4 stars<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%; color: #282828;\"><b>Information Technology<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 4 Stars Plus<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%; color: #282828;\"><b>Restaurant Management and Food Service<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 3 stars<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%; color: #282828;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nguyen Tat Thanh University is currently the <\/span><b>first and only private university in Vietnam<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to have multiple academic programs awarded UPM star ratings under the application-oriented university framework.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%; color: #282828;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speaking at the ceremony, <\/span><b>Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> highly praised the efforts and development direction of Nguyen Tat Thanh University. According to the UPM evaluation, the University is actively &#8220;pursuing&#8221; a highly proactive strategy for quality governance and institutional branding. The University is committed to its educational philosophy of <\/span><b>&#8220;learning through practice, practical training, and career readiness,&#8221;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> while fostering a dynamic spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation. This demonstrates the consistency of the University&#8217;s development orientation as well as its alignment with the development trends of higher education in particular and society in general. The purpose of the seminar was to identify the challenges facing Vietnam&#8217;s higher education system in general, and Nguyen Tat Thanh University in particular, in the context of innovation and institutional autonomy.
