Among the findings are a number of noteworthy indicators regarding the quality of teaching and learning at Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><b>Facilities and Administration \u2013 The Information Center\u2013Library System Is a Major Strength of Nguyen Tat Thanh University<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The survey results show that, when asked about the quality of the University&#8217;s library database and library services, the average satisfaction score of NTTU students was higher than that of <\/span><b>more than 70%<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the colleges and universities whose students participated in the survey.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In particular, the <\/span><b>Information Center\u2013Library System<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at Nguyen Tat Thanh University was one of the <\/span><b>three highest-rated university library systems<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the richness and diversity of its collections, including domestic and international books, newspapers, journals, and digitized electronic resources in both Vietnamese and foreign languages.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to creating an internationalized learning environment, the University also provides numerous opportunities for students to interact with international faculty members and international students. The average score for this category was <\/span><b>4.08<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the highest among the <\/span><b>18 universities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> participating in the study.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, the use of electronic equipment in teaching and the availability of computer laboratory facilities were rated only at an average level, receiving scores of <\/span><b>4.14<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>3.93<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, respectively (ranking in the <\/span><b>top 10 out of 18 universities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><b>Teaching and Learning \u2013 Several Indicators Maintained Top-Three Rankings<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 90%;\">According to the students who participated in the survey, the teaching and learning programs at Nguyen Tat Thanh University help improve their competitiveness in the job market through extracurricular activities, study visits, and by providing numerous internship opportunities that enable students to gain practical experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The University has also effectively implemented academic advising, career guidance, student counseling, and psychological support services. The average scores for these categories consistently remained among the <\/span><b>top three highest-rated universities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with scores ranging from <\/span><b>3.90 to 4.10<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 90%;\">According to the survey findings, students reported that the University regularly organizes effective alumni sharing sessions, career counseling, and employment guidance activities. As a result, students are able to develop clear career plans and directions while still at university.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Overall, Nguyen Tat Thanh University students&#8217; learning outcomes and satisfaction levels were rated <\/span><b>above average<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> across most survey categories.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alongside the areas that received outstanding evaluations, several indicators were rated only as satisfactory when compared with the results of the other participating universities. Specifically, the category <\/span><b>&#8220;alignment between instructors&#8217; academic expertise and the subjects they teach&#8221;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> received an average score of <\/span><b>4.19<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, ranking <\/span><b>10th out of 18 universities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while <\/span><b>&#8220;interactive learning activities (asking questions and class discussions)&#8221;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> received <\/span><b>4.18<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, ranking <\/span><b>11th out of 18 universities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 90%;\">These are also among the areas that the University and its academic faculties should continue to review, improve, and further enhance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>&#8220;International Survey on Learning Outcomes and Student Satisfaction in Taiwan \u2013 Thailand \u2013 Japan \u2013 Vietnam&#8221;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was conducted in <\/span><b>2021<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by the <\/span><b>Center for Education Accreditation, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in collaboration with three higher education quality assurance organizations from <\/span><b>Taiwan, Thailand, and Japan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The survey was conducted online from <\/span><b>July 1 to August 29<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, involving <\/span><b>more than 5,000 students<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from <\/span><b>18 leading universities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> located in major cities across Vietnam, including <\/span><b>Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Da Lat, and Can Tho<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 90%;\">The survey examined students&#8217; learning outcomes, perceptions of academic programs, teaching methods, learning resources and instructional materials, satisfaction with facilities and teaching equipment, and the quality of the University&#8217;s academic guidance and student support services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The survey used a <\/span><b>five-point scale<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to measure respondents&#8217; perceptions, agreement, and satisfaction. On this scale, <\/span><b>1<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> represents <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">strongly disagree<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">very dissatisfied<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, or <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">do not understand at all<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while <\/span><b>5<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> represents <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">strongly agree<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">very satisfied<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, or <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">understand very well<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-size: 90%;\"><b>Office of Quality Assurance<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Higher education quality assurance organizations in several Asian countries jointly conducted the &#8220;International Survey on Learning Outcomes and Student Satisfaction in Taiwan \u2013 Thailand \u2013 Japan \u2013 Vietnam,&#8221; the results of which have recently been released.
