On the morning of September 13, 2019, at An Phu Dong campus, Nguyen Tat Thanh University held the closing ceremony of the external evaluation for four training programs, including: Information Technology, Finance and Banking, Business Administration, and English Language Studies, under the AUN-QA quality assurance framework.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The ceremony was attended by the AUN-QA External Evaluation Team, the university leadership, and distinguished staff members from various departments, centers, and institutes within the university.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over three days of rigorous, objective, and professional working sessions from September 11 to 13, the AUN-QA External Evaluation Team directly surveyed the university\u2019s and faculties\u2019 facilities, and subsequently conducted interviews with the university leadership, faculty leaders, academic and administrative support staff, lecturers, students, alumni, and employers.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Shahrir Abdullah \u2013 Acting Vice Chair of the AUN-QA Council and Head of the External Evaluation Team at Nguyen Tat Thanh University \u2013 expressed his gratitude for the warm and thoughtful hospitality provided by the University to the evaluation team. He further shared that \u201cAUN-QA is a higher education quality assurance organization with strong national and international reputation. Recognizing the importance of quality assurance in higher education, AUN-QA will continue to improve itself in order to live up to the trust of member universities.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In his remarks at the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, President of the University, affirmed that the feedback provided by the AUN evaluation team for the four training programs\u2014Finance and Banking, Information Technology, Business Administration, and English Language Studies\u2014would serve as motivation for the University to continue improving <\/span>training quality, scientific research, community service, and other activities.<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

At the closing ceremony, the evaluation team provided preliminary assessments and analysis of strengths to be further promoted as well as weaknesses that need improvement for each training program. These four programs at Nguyen Tat Thanh University were the first programs to be externally evaluated under the AUN-QA quality assurance framework, serving as a model and valuable experience for other faculties within the university to learn from and better prepare for future external evaluations under regional and international standards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, Nguyen Tat Thanh University had two programs accredited under Circular 04 of the Ministry of Education and Training, namely Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology and Hospitality Management. In the near future, Pharmacy and Nursing programs will continue to undergo quality accreditation under Circular 04 standards.<\/span><\/p>\n

AUN quality assurance standards have become a target for many universities in Vietnam and across Southeast Asia, including Nguyen Tat Thanh University, as the university\u2019s training goals are not only to attract learners but also to affirm training quality and gradually establish a quality culture of a higher education institution. Through self-assessment and external evaluation activities, the University can identify strengths and weaknesses of training programs, thereby developing concrete action plans to improve and address existing limitations.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, AUN accreditation results serve as a confirmation of program quality to society, enhancing graduates\u2019 qualifications and institutional reputation, thereby helping students access employment opportunities more easily.<\/span><\/p>\n
